Perancangan Sistem Informasi Absensi Online Mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik Universitas Islam Kadiri Berbasis Web

In the current digital era, the role of information technology is crucial in various
aspects of life, including higher education. One of the main challenges faced by
Universitas Islam Kadiri, particularly the Faculty of Engineering, is the management
of student attendance using conventional paper-based and manual signature systems.
These methods are susceptible to fraud, slow in recapitulation, and prone to
recording errors. To address these issues, this research proposes the development of
an Online Attendance Information System. This system is expected to enhance
efficiency, accuracy, and integrity in managing student attendance, while promoting
the integration of information technology in a more modern and cohesive educational
context. A case study will be conducted at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas
Islam Kadiri, to illustrate the implementation and benefits of this system in a specific
academic environment.
