This study designs an automated feeding system and temperature monitoring for laying duck cages based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to simplify maintenance, reduce labor and time requirements, and improve duck health and egg productivity. The research employs a development method by collecting data to design and test the system, which consists of a DHT22 sensor, Load Cell sensor, NodeMCU ESP8266, and an Android-based application. The results show that the system maintains cage temperatures more consistently than conventional cages, with average daytime temperatures of 34.10°C and nighttime temperatures of 25.90°C. For feeding, the automated system successfully eliminates the need for manual maintenance with an error rate of 0%-3.3%. In terms of productivity, cages equipped with the system demonstrate a 5% higher average egg production rate, reaching 73.6%, compared to conventional cages at 68.3%. Based on testing, the automation system is feasible and effective in improving maintenance efficiency and egg productivity. This tool outperforms conventional methods in temperature monitoring, feed control, and productivity outcomes, supporting more modern and measurable livestock management.
